The role of interpersonal skills in mentorship

Interpersonal skills 

This is a way people interact with each other be it their peers, mentors or leaders.

Listening skills- Interpersonal skills require individuals to have good listening skills. 
Verbal communication- These skills meaning individuals should know how to communicate through speaking.

Negotiation- individuals should be able to have discussions aimed at reaching an agreement.

Problem solving- individuals should be able to determine the source of problems and find effective ways to solve the problem without creating another problem.
Assertiveness- individuals should have the ability to speak up for themselves in a way that is honest and respectful.

Non-verbal communication- individuals should be able to transfer information from one person to another without the use of words or spoken language.
Decision making- Individuals should be able to make informed, rational decisions.
